PALA 2009: The Art of Stylistics
The annual conference is the main event of the year for PALA members. The conference is always an extremely enjoyable social occasion, as well as the opportunity for members and others to present their latest research. The best way to get involved with PALA is to come along to the conference.
This year the conference will be hosted by the Roosevelt Academy in Middelburg, and will take place from 28th July to the 1st August 2009, with the theme The Art of Stylistics.
Middelburg is the capital of the province of Zeeland in the extreme south of the Netherlands, and is a small city with a rich history. It can be reached by train from Brussels and Amsterdam airports, by car from Calais, and is well connected for train travel from many locations in Europe. Zeeland is a popular tourist destination, with many fine beaches, seaside resorts, places of historical interest and natural beauty.
