This group is interested in promoting and exploring the possibilities for the use of language corpora and corpus linguistic techniques in the analysis of the language of literature.

- A colloquium at the Corpus Linguistics 2009 conference in Liverpool.
- A pre-conference workshop at the annual PALA conference in Kansai Gaidai on the 29th and 30th July 2007. The invited speakers included Geoffrey Leech, Lisa-Lena Opas-Hänninen, Mick Short and Martin Wynne.
- A symposium at the Corpus Linguistics 2007 Conference at the University of Birmingham, organised by Ylva Berglund, with papers from Beatrix Busse, Michaela Mahlberg and Bettina Fischer-Starcke.
- Pre-conference workshop at Joensuu, July 2006
- AHRC Methods Network workshop in Oxford, May 2006
