PALA Summer Schools are the initiative of former PALA Chair Michael Burke. They are held each year before the PALA annual conference, at the conference venue. Summer schools are open to all PALANs, but we especially encourage students (both undergraduate and graduate) and early career researchers to attend.
2026 summer school
The theme of the PALA 2026 Summer School is ‘Stylistics: Back to the Future?’ We are delighted that the Summer School will this year be taught by two of PALA’s founding members:
